How much does substance abuse cost Sullivan County?

This US Department of Health and Human Services study estimates that substance abuse costs the United States $510.8 billion every year, which translates to over 700 million dollars for Sullivan County.

US Centers for Disease Control estimates that tobacco costs Sullivan County $163 million a year in annual health care costs directly caused by smoking. 1,700 New Hampshire residents a year die as a result of personal tobacco use.
