Sullivan County Judicial Strategy Retreat
On Tuesday, November 16 the Sullivan County Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee and Communities United Regional Network for Sullivan County (Communities United) held a Judicial and Law Enforcement Strategy Retreat at Dexter’s Inn in Sunapee Harbor, N.H. More than forty members of the community, including District Court Judge Jack Yazinski, State Assistant Attorney General Karin Eckel, Sullivan County Prosecuting Attorney Marc Hathaway, state officials, police officers, school officials, and mental health experts attended. They explored ways to make their combined efforts more effective and reduce costs of enforcement in Sullivan County.
We are very grateful to the partners who helped make this a successful event, from support staff and presenters to participants.
The Retreat had several important findings:
- The Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee is working to focus on pre-trial services
- A juvenile-focused subcommitte is working to identify current programs, duplications and gaps.
