In 2007, Sullivan County received funds through the State of New Hampshire to support our efforts to reduce substance use in our communities. Communities United initiated a community assessment and planning process using the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) steps. We collected and used data to raise awareness of substance abuse problems, mobilize a core group within the County to identify priorities and capacity needs, and use a multi-strategy approach to begin addressing these problems.

In 2010, we received a 5-year Drug-Free Communities Grant from the federal government to support our efforts.
